If you haven’t done so already, you might want to call your email service provider and ask them about incorporating SMS (txt messages) as part of their service offering. Just image:
You can use SMS at a trade show to collect opt-in names. Instead of the “fishbowl” to drop in the business card to enter to win the “contest”, why not have the visitors txt a keyword and their email address to a short code and they will be automatically entered in the contest.
The benefits are huge,
- You don’t have to enter the data manually at the end of the show. – This saves time and money.
- Dramatically reduce the data entry errors.
- You are poised to send follow up communications immediately.
Ask your vendor to show you how it’s done.
